Who: Leading manufacturer of golf ball vending machines and associated equipment for the golf driving range industry. Problem: A new model of golf ball vending machine required control of electrical actuators to prevent electric shocks during golf ball replenishment and to reduce noise. Solution: A control was developed with safety features including pull-apart terminal blocks and totally protected electronics in a wall-mount enclosure. A digital display and industrial grade pushbuttons were added to provide additional customer interface options. A troubleshooting screen on the display was added to give operational feedback. Benefits: The company now has one integrated control for two types of machines. The improved terminal blocks and enclosure eliminated the number of electrical shock hazard complaints. Noise problem was completely eliminated.
