Who: Manufacturer of ice vending machines. Problem: Manufacturer required a solution that decreased assembly time, increased realiability, decreased number and duration of service calls, decreased panel footprint, and simplified field troubleshooting. Solution: Controller integrated all features of control panel into a single module. This included Programmable Logic Controller, terminal blocks, motor contactors, relays, power supply and wiring. Benefits: Customer decreased assembly time from four hours to three minutes. Reduction in moving parts dramatically increased reliability. Service calls have been reduced, due to "plug and play" nature of replacing modules. Field troubleshooting has been all but eliminated.
